New CBS morning show, Good Morning America tv show CBS on Tuesday announced a major revamp of its morning TV news show, bringing in Charlie Rose and Gayle King and putting the emphasis firmly on news.

The new two-hour show, as yet to be titled, will debut on January 9 from a new studio in New York and replace the network's low-rated "Early Show", CBS said.

CBS said the new morning program would give viewers a "more thoughtful, substantive and insightful source of news," giving weight to national and global news stories. Chris Wragge rejoins WCBS,

Chris Wragge rejoins WCBS, Chris Wragge will rejoin CBS O&O WCBS New York as co-anchor of the station’s weeknight 6 p.m. newscasts, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6. Prior to leaving WCBS last December, Wragge was co-anchor of the station’s weeknight 5 and 11 p.m. newscasts, co-anchor of the Saturday edition of The Early Show and as a frequent substitute co-anchor of the weekday edition of The Early Show.
In addition to partnering with Dana Tyler to anchor the station’s 6 p.m. newscasts, Wragge will continue his “day job” as co-anchor of CBS News’s The Early Show.
